Coming from an overnight at Pagudpud, our tour bus in-charged advised us that we only have 1 1/2 hours to have lunch and buy souvenirs in VIGAN. We arrived at 12:30PM and before that I already checked online for restaurants. One friend suggested Cafe Leona but it only has 3.5 stars rating from looloo app. I chose Abuelita’s because they served empanada, too bad they’re close on a Sunday. Cramming! I asked the tricycle driver (P10.00/head) where’s the restaurant that served best Vigan food. he dropped us off at a karinderia style with no ambiance. I said nope not here. We wasted 15mins of our time there. Saw another tricycle driver (P10.00/head) for restaurant and suggested Lampong’s.
Finally! A restaurant at the heritage site, the famous Calle Crisologo. It saved us minutes to take our lunch then look for the site. We were seated in a table for 4, and hurriedly ordered lunch.

WHAT WE HAVE ORDERED:
MEATY RICE WITH LONGGANISA P80🌟🌟🌟🌟
This did not dissapoint, it was served hot, serving was enough for 2-3, flavourful, soft rice. (MUST TRY!)
THE FOLLOWING WERE A DISSAPOINTMENT
PINAKBET BAGNET P120🌟
lacks flavour in short no taste at all
VIGAN LONGGANISA (Half Order) P140🌟
we were not fan of garlicky longganisa
KARE KARENG BAGNET P220 🌟
lacks flavour in short no taste at all
This experience decided us not to buy Vigan Longganisa and Bagnet. It ruined our excitement.
I am with the 2 former great cooks of La Milagrosa Catering Services that still caters at Malacañang Palace. They weren’t satisfied with the Pakbet and Kare-Kare. It lacks something. Vigan Longganisa has strong taste of …im not sure, but im a fan of sweet-style longganisa, this is not in any way sweet.
Meaty rice with Longganisa was good, can be shared by 2-3.

Free wifi, 5🌟s for AMBIANCE & LOCATION; 2🌟s for FOOD ORDERED!
What we liked about the restaurant was it’s LOCATION and AMBIANCE but FOOD were forgetable. Saved yourself from dissapointment.
NOTE: To their MANAGEMENT please improve the taste of your food.
