2/F Sunset Quay
Manila Ocean Park
Saturday, 21 December 2013
After a horrible lunch experience at MARINA Sky Garden, and after the Alaska vs Ginebra game at MOA Arena (my team losts so it’s 2 of 3 luck so far), we found a taxi without going through a long queue, paid P150 (P134.50) from MOA to Manila Ocean Park, arrived at around 7PM.
I have to admit that I brought (2) ENSOGO VOUCHERS supposedly to be used to celebrate my birthday (December 8) with friends. But upon confirming that my brother will arrived on the 20th, I decided to use it to treat him on this day.
It was Saturday night but few people were having their drinks. Three tables were occupied including us.
I asked the server for a pen and paper so I could write our orders.
While waiting we took photos and checked the ambiance. Too bad PBA’s first game was at 3:30PM so we missed out the great SUNSET view of Manila Bay.
After waiting for few minutes, they served the Iced Tea and Cerveza Negra.
They first served the SUKIYAKI P130
sweet broth, with nice texture of sotanghon noodles. Served hot. We all loved it! (this is on the sweet side, not all might like it). We didn’t finished the half of the bowl.
SISIG & INASAL CHICKEN P330
the sisig is not the normal oily sisig we order from other restaurants, this has a veggie after taste and crisy bits. chicken was tender but not too flavourful, but it’s still ok.
BAKED TAHONG P280
big-sized mussels, looks good, best with beer
SALMON POMODORO P340
We adore this! Loved every bite. Can be shared by 3. A MUST order! DELICIOUS!
MINI TACOS P300
a grabbed then eat each piece whole so it won’t get messy. This takes up all the oil from other orders. Best with beer!
The FINALE! GAMBAS with CHORIZO P330
again another MUST order! It has a sweet but spicy after taste which makes the shrimp perfect blend with the sauce. Chorizo pieces were thin and I had only few pieces. But this plate was amazing.
Sorry I needed to post this.
In terms of the value I paid via ENSOGO and the the service we’ve gotten. I hit a jackpot here!
FOOD WAS GREAT, STAFF in-charge WAS ATTENTIVE, AMBIANCE (cozy, but a little hot, but we forgive them because of the food and service), for the regular priced MENU, without the promo, I believed it’s a bit pricey per plate.
