A former officemate gave me 2 free tickets, any movie, at Greenhills Cinema. Tickets were about to expire tho. Gladly, the current showing in Theatre Mall and Promenade are of Thor: The Dark World. So it’s easy for my HS barkada to come along with me.

I found out via IG that somewhere near Greenhills there’s this Vietnamese Restaurant. I made sure that we had to dine-in there after the movie. It was about a block-away from Virra Mall.

I have been craving and wishing that I find the best PHO in town for me to not think again of going back in Hanoi just to eat Pho Bo and drink Bia Hoi in the streets. Hehe!

Here goes.. We ordered Beef Special Pho (Regular P189) good for sharing

Ok, this broth still not brings back memories from Hanoi. But, it is adjustable in taste. Just ask for ground black pepper & hot sauce to adjust on your preferred taste.

This was the best PHO BO VND 40.000 I’ve ever tasted in HANOI. My eyes almost popped when I first sipped the broth. Awesome moment! I think the best PHOs are best eaten at the side of the streets.

Vermicelli Bowl (Grilled Pork & Spring Roll Bun P179

I did not realized that the vermicelli bowl is the Philippines’ version of bun cha in Vietnam. It was only served during lunch time in Hanoi. Aside from Pho Bo, Bun Cha is my second fave Vietnamese food. Of course, I liked it better in Hanoi. You get to eat in a karinderia style stall and the owners grilling the pork near the side of the street. They served you the rice noodles, fatty pork, spring rolls, herbs, special sweet dipping sauce, in separate plates and small bowls. You get to do what ever you wish on how to eat it. Oh so heavenly. Yum! Yum!

This is what BUN CHA in HANOI looked like (it was 3 orders that’s why I had so much on the table)

Alright, Pho 24’s Vermicelli Bowl version: the pork is a little sweet (I like it, my friend’s not a fan tho), spring rolls are too small maybe they wanted to fit it inside the bowl, I didn’t like it very much, I like the all the veggies on the side, vermicelli is ok, I’m not a fan of the vinegar-type sauce or I’m not really sure what it was. I used it anyway. Poured half in the bowl for added taste.

The Ambiance:

PHO 24

Pho 24’s staffs are very accomodating, and you feel that you’re taking care of with a smile, service was fast enough, food was served hot & fresh, ambiance was well-lit, clean, quiet, the washroom smells great, price is affordable and can be shared by two. No wifi for wifi addict like me.

  1. Its my first ever exposure to Vietnamese Food so I don’t have any firsthand experience to compare to when I dined with my brother Oscar in Pho 24,Greenhills.I must say I do love The Chicken Brisket Soup and The Spring Rolls(The best yung sauce!!!).Its kinda expensive on the budget but well worth it…
